Classes for Women

Carpentry & Your Home’s Interior

March 15 – April 19, 2017

Wednesdays, 7-9 pm

HRRC Teaching Center, 2520 Noble Rd.

This popular six-class series will teach you all about your home’s walls, floors, windows, doors, and tiled surfaces.  You’ll learn how walls are constructed by building your own wall, learning to use power tools to cut lumber and learning to use screws and nails to build it.  Your wall follows you through class, as you learn how to:
  • hang drywall on it
  • prep and paint it
  • lay tile on it

You’ll also learn about other flooring materials, how walls and doors are framed into walls, and how to make common repairs to windows.  It’s a lot to cover in six weeks, but it’s the most fun you’ll have learning about your house!

Enrollment is limited to 15.

This class is for beginners and questions are encouraged!

Series Fee:$150 (12 hours of instruction)
