Every time you use a ladder, look it over before you set it up. Make sure the <strong>hooks<\/strong> that lock the top section in place are secure. Check that the <strong>shoes<\/strong> (the rubber pads at the base of the ladder) are firmly attached. Make sure the <strong>rope<\/strong> is securely fastened.<\/p>\n<p>Next, look at the area where you&#8217;ll be using the ladder. Look for tree branches in the way.
