**Due to a technicality of state legislation, the City of Cleveland Heights and HRRC have paused the Down Payment Assistance program. As of now, we do not know when it will reopen but we are working as diligently as possible. Prospective applicants are still able to complete the DPA questionnaire and applications. As soon as we have more information, we will post it on the website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 216-381-6100 or costrom@hrrc-ch.org. Thank you for your patience.**
In an agreement with the City of Cleveland Heights, Home Repair Resource Center facilitates applications for the City’s Down Payment Assistance Program. The program provides up to $30,000 to income-eligible buyers of one- and two-family homes throughout the city.
Program details and requirements can be found on the Down Payment Assistance Fact Sheet.
Note that applicants must receive certification of completion of pre-purchase and home maintenance counseling from a H.U.D. approved agency. HRRC is one of the agencies that distributes certificates after completion of our Home Buyer Education Series.
Interested buyers should complete the Pre-Qualifying Questionnaire in order to receive an application.
The Buyer’s Checklist will list all the application documents needed to be turned in with the application.
